Michelle A. Delancy is a founding partner with the law firm of delancyhill, P.A., Miami, Florida. Formerly associated with de la O & Marko, P.A. and a recent sole practitioner, Ms. Delancy focuses her practice on litigation matters. She has extensive experience with commercial, construction, family, criminal defense, landlord/tenant and administrative litigation. Her areas of experience also include administrative and municipal matters and collections.
Born in New York and raised in Miami, Ms. Delancy holds a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor’s of Science in Foreign Service (B.S.F.S.) from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
Ms. Delancy received the honor of Dean’s Fellow to the late Professor Richard Hausler. She was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence (“Book”) Award in Contracts and Torts law and was further honored with the West Award for excellence in Contracts law. Ms. Delancy was also selected as a James Weldon Johnson Fellow at the University of Miami School of Law and placed first in the James Weldon Johnson Moot Court Competition. Professionally, Ms. Delancy is a member of the Florida Bar, Black Lawyers Association and Caribbean Bar Association.
