After receiving his law degree from the University of Florida (May 1990), Mr. Wedderburn accepted an associate's position with Steel, Hector and Davis, L.L.C. in Miami. In 1994, he resigned from Steel Hector to start his own firm -- Wedderburn & Jacobs, P.A.
Currently, he serves as the Managing Partner of Wedderburn & Jacobs, P.A. Mr. Wedderburn's areas of legal specialty include, but are not limited to complex commercial trial litigation, personal injury, and employment discrimination. His responsibilities include acting as the firm's lead trial attorney, managing the day to day operations of the firm, overseeing and implementing all business decisions and client development.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Wedderburn is a Certified Mediator. While he is qualified to mediate any civil matter, he specializes in cases involving personal injury, employment related matters and commercial litigation.
Mr. Wedderburn is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Nova-Southeastern Law Center (1999 - Present). His true passion, however, is serving children related charities. Presently, he serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida, and one morning a week he volunteers at a local high school through the Junior Achievement program.
